Mark Menzies MP said he was delighted to attend the opening of new business premises for a community care company in Lytham.

The Member of Parliament was invited to the launch of Mosaic Community Care’s new Lytham branch on Clifton Street.

During the event, he spoke to staff about the work they do to help people who wish to live independently, but still may need that bit of extra help.

Mr Menzies said: “It was fascinating to hear about the work which Mosaic does with those who need care and support to have more choices and control in their lives.

“One woman who was displaying craft works spoke to me about the work she does helping those suffering from dementia by allowing them to express themselves through arts and crafts.

“During the visit, I was also pleased to hear that Mosaic offers services for carers to assist them with the tough job of looking after loved-ones who may require extra support.

“Often the welfare of carers can be overlooked but they provide a crucial service which allows people to stay within the safety and security of their own home, rather than be put into professional care.

“They need a support structure to do that important job and it is vital they have access to the help they need.”
