Grant Shapps MP visits successful Fylde business

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies welcomed a Government Minister to Lytham as he visited one of the area’s business success stories.

The Member of Parliament introduced Conservative Party chairman Grant Shapps MP to Damian and Helen Broughton from accountancy firm Danbro.

Mr Shapps was given a tour of the company’s new Jubilee House headquarters in the former Land Registry building at the tip of Lytham Green and said he was impressed with how the business had grown since it was formed in 2000.

Following the visit, Mr Menzies said: “The success of Danbro during what has been an extremely difficult time for businesses is something to really be proud of.

“The Minister was in Lancashire to sign the £200m Government Growth Deal with members of Lancashire Enterprise Partnership and had asked to visit a successful business in the area. I could think of no better example than Danbro.

“As well as its own success, the company’s new headquarters at Jubilee House shows that its owners, Helen and Damian, are really investing in their workforce and community.

“I know the Minister was extremely impressed to hear how the company had grown from being based out of a room in Helen and Damian’s home in Kirkham in 1999 to what it is today.”
