Mark Menzies MP: 2015 was great but more work to do in 2016

Fylde MP Mark Menzies has outlined his wish list for the local area in 2016.

The Member of Parliament said he was proud of his achievements in 2015 and mentioned improvements to local infrastructure and employment among his priorities for the coming year.

Mr Menzies added: “2015 was a great year. Nationally, the General Election saw the Conservatives given a mandate to continue our work in Government and locally I increased my majority in Fylde.

“However, there is still much work to do and this year I want to see Fylde continue to prosper.

“My wish list for the year is to see work progress on the new M55 Lytham St Annes Link Road and more overseas routes to begin operating from Blackpool Airport.

“I will continue to support jobs and growth in Fylde and hope to see new companies moving onto our two enterprise zones. I also want to see increased export orders for the BAE Systems Typhoon aircraft, which is built in Warton and provides employment to thousands of local people.”
