FYLDE MP Mark Menzies met staff and management during a visit to a Lytham accountants.

Forbes Watson Accountants and Auditors, based at the Old Saw Mill on Church Road, is approaching its second anniversary and has gone from strength to strength since director Simon Cox set up the company in 2012.

The company has grown to employ four people within 18 months and is currently recruiting for a new member of the team.

And Mr Menzies said he was happy to see a small enterprise flourishing in Fylde.

He added: “I was delighted when I was invited to visit Forbes Watson to meet the team there. I always look forward to visiting local businesses and having the opportunity to meet staff.

“It was interesting for me to hear about the different work Forbes Watson does and how smaller operations can provide a different service to what may be on offer from larger organisations.

“I was happy to hear about the growth the business had seen within its short life and long may it continue as the economy continues to improve.”

Bosses behind the firm say they have found a niche in the market looking after entrepreneurs and business owners across the country as they can provide them with a tailored service to suit their needs.

The company recently launched an online and smartphone app service which it said was proving popular with business owners who are looking to spend more time on their work and less time worrying about their finances.

Senior accountant Scott Templeton said: “At Forbes Watson we aim to take the stress away from business owners by allowing them the freedom to choose how we work with them. Our new online service is an ideal solution for many businesses.”
