MP praises Danbro over Employer of Year win

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies visited a local accountancy firm to congratulate the team after the company was named Lancashire Employer of the Year 2015.

Danbro, at Jubilee House in Lytham, received the prestigious gong during this year’s Red Rose Business Awards at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool, on Thursday night.

Mr Menzies stopped by the former Land Registry building, which was recently refurbished to provide a stunning new headquarters for the company, on Friday to pass on his warmest congratulations.

Following the visit, the Member of Parliament said: “I am proud to have so many businesses in Fylde which are progressive employers that take care of their staff while also leading their respective fields for the work they do.

“Danbro is one such company and I was delighted to see its owners Damian and Helen Broughton receive such a richly deserved award.

“I have visited Danbro on a number of occasions and it is always a pleasure to see the close relationship the management has with their staff, who seem to truly relish working for the company.

“I am also delighted with the investment the company has made in our community with the redevelopment of Jubilee House, for so long an eye sore which blighted the famous Lytham Green.

“I hope the staff at Danbro will be happy in their new home for years to come, during which time I am sure they will win many more plaudits.

“I would also like to congratulate the other successful Fylde companies at this year’s Red Rose Awards including Cuffe and Taylor concert promoters in the Creative Sector Business of the Year category and Kirkham health supplements firm Natures Aid which won the International Achievement Award.”
