FYLDE MP Mark Menzies has welcomed plans to upgrade a key transport “pinch point.”

New Transport Secretary, Patrick McLoughlin, announced during the Conservative Party Conference that £170m would be spent upgrading more than 50 key areas to help to oil the wheels of business.

One of the areas chosen was the area where junction one of the M55 meets junction 32 of the M6 near Broughton roundabout Рan area which has long been a sore point for many local businesses who have warned that congestion causes problems and puts off potential investors.
