MPs and Peers were invited today to attend Westminster Flu Day, a flu vaccine clinic held in the House of Commons, to encourage their constituents to get this season’s flu vaccine in line with Government recommendations. BAE Warton apprentice into national final. Vote now!

FYLDE-based engineering apprentice, Jenny Westworth, has been named in the final three for the ‘National Apprenticeship Champion of the Year’. Jenny, who works on the Eurofighter Typhoon at Warton, was nominated because of her achievements since finishing her apprenticeship and because of her efforts championing apprenticeships. IT was a cold, grey and damp autumnal day when I arrived in Poland last Thursday. Myself, along with a number of other Parliamentarians and students from across the North-West, were visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau on a day-long tour designed to continue to educate people about the Holocaust. Big Energy Saving Week

TWO thirds of people think their energy bill will be higher this winter – with many living in colder homes than they would like. Mark visits Fylde Coast Players

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies helped to celebrate a local amateur dramatics group's 65th anniversary. Mr Menzies, a keen supporter of Fylde's thriving am-dram community, went to see Fylde Coast Players' "The Importance of Being Earnest" on Friday night. He met with the cast and crew of the show and plans to return regularly to future events.
