MY WEEK IN WESTMINSTER

This week it is Recess in Parliament, following some frantic voting on Brexit. It was great to be invited to AKS to take part in the British Heart Foundation-backed Healthy Heart day. Every child at the junior school was given the opportunity to see and practice CPR, and teachers, parents and other members of the community were invited along as well, to make sure as many people as possible can help in a medical emergency. Fylde MP Mark Menzies praises community healthy heart project

Fylde MP Mark Menzies took part in a healthy heart day at AKS School. Pupils, teachers, parents and members of the community were invited to learn how to carry out CPR, and how to clear a blockage from someone's throat. Mark Menzies MP says Virgin’s pricing policy ‘fleeces’ Preston passengers

Fylde MP questions Rail Minister over Virgin Rail pricing

Fylde MP Mark Menzies has written to the Rail Minister asking for clarification over Virgin Rail's West Coast Main Line pricing structure, ahead of a meeting today with the rail firm. Mr Menzies has vowed to bring an end to the situation which sees passengers from Preston paying up to four times as much as those from Lancaster to use the same trains to London.
