Prime Minister’s praise for Fylde MP’s link road effort

Fylde MP Mark Menzies has been praised by the Prime Minister for his work in helping to secure a new M55 link road for Lytham and St Annes. Mr Menzies asked Theresa May at Prime Minister's Question Time if she would do everything possible to ensure the road would go ahead. Fylde MP presses Government on shale gas well monitoring

Fylde MP Mark Menzies has pressed the Government over shale gas well monitoring. Mr Menzies wrote to the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, to ask: "What steps he has taken to undertake baseline monitoring of the health of residents living in close proximity to Cuadrilla Resources' shale gas well site at Preston New Road." Fylde MP’s call over ‘shameful’ treatment of assistance dog passengers

Fylde MP Mark Menzies has pledged to support a call for all taxi and minicab drivers to be given disability equality training. He took part in a Parliamentary debate this week to press for training, after being told by guide dog owners they were often refused passage. The Private Member’s Bill that sought to introduce such training was debated on November 18 but was not voted on due to a lack of time. Fylde MP welcomes family help in Autumn Statement

A lower tax threshold, and 30 hours of free childcare a week, will help working families, says Fylde MP Mark Menzies. He said: "This budget shows just how far this Government has gone for families.
