Fylde MP Mark Menzies has urged residents to Love their Local Market after a national campaign was launched to support street traders. The Love Your Local Market (LYLM) scheme this year runs between May 17th and 31st and the Member of Parliament said markets provide a great way for local producers to sell their goods. Fylde MP praises young orators at national final of Rotary competition

Fylde MP Mark Menzies praised young public speakers following the national final of the Rotary Club’s Youth Speaks competition at Kirkham Grammar School. The prestigious event saw teams of youngsters from across Great Britain head to Fylde this weekend to speak on a range of topics in front of a panel of judges. Mark Menzies MP attacks Lancashire County Council over library closure plans

Mark Menzies MP has hit out at Labour-led Lancashire County Council’s plans to close libraries across Fylde. On Friday, the county council announced proposals to close Lytham, Kirkham, Ansdell and Freckleton Libraries, despite the efforts of local campaigners, councillors and the Member of Parliament. This week I attended the official opening of the Lytham Windmill and Old Lifeboat House museums. The newly-refurbished museums are well worth taking the time to pay a visit and are a credit to the volunteers who have put their time and efforts into creating such high-quality attractions.
