Mark Menzies welcomes new childcare assistance

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies today welcomed news that 60,000 parents in the North West will benefit from Government plans to double the amount of free childcare for working families. MP in visit to threatened animal sanctuary

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies visited a local animal sanctuary to show his support for staff after it was revealed the charity may be forced to close its doors if it cannot find a new home. The Member of Parliament was invited to Easterleigh Animal Sanctuary by owner Mandy Leigh, and was given a tour of the site and the animal enclosures by manager Sharlene Biksas-Hassal. Fylde jobs boost hailed by Mark Menzies MP

Mark Menzies MP has welcomed new figures which show that unemployment in Fylde has dropped by almost a third in the past 12 months. The latest statistics for the month of April showed there are currently 628 unemployed benefit claimants in the constituency, down 234 from April 2014. That figure was also 34 less than the previous month.
