Mark Menzies MP thanks Citizens Advice volunteers

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies has thanked staff and volunteers at Fylde Citizens Advice for providing constituents with the support they need to solve problems. Fylde MP backs business start-up schemes

Mark Menzies MP has welcomed new figures showing the success of the Government’s Start-Up Loans and New Enterprise Allowance schemes in helping provide growth and jobs for Fylde families. The latest statistics show that Start-Up Loans have already helped 29 people in Fylde set up a business, with £170,000 worth of loans approved locally since the scheme launched in 2012. This week Lancashire County Council are to make a decision over plans for two shale gas exploration sites at Roseacre Wood and Westby-with-Plumpton. Fylde MP breaks ground on new St Annes development

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies donned a hard hat and hi vis jacket to mark the ground-breaking of McCarthy and Stone’s new Retirement Living development in St Annes. THIS week I was delighted to be able to host a Parliamentary reception for staff from BAE systems. As many people will know, the company is Fylde’s biggest employer with more than 6,000 people working at its site in Warton.
