Kirkham restaurant wins commendation from MPs

Mark Menzies MP said he was proud of the culinary excellence on offer in Fylde after a Kirkham curry house was highly commended in a Parliamentary competition to find Britain’s best South Asian restaurant. Mr Menzies nominated Buraq on Blackpool Road in the prestigious Tiffin Cup and the popular restaurant received a special commendation from judges. MP hosts high school students in Parliament

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies welcomed a group of high school pupils to Parliament as they paid a visit to the seat of British democracy. Mr Menzies arranged a tour of the Palace of Westminster for the students from Lytham St Annes Technology and Performing Arts College before organising for them to attend a debate in the House of Commons Chamber. Mark Menzies visits Lytham Hall Park Primary

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies praised the facilities at a local school when he was given a tour of its new extension. Pupils at Lytham Hall Park Primary School moved into extended and refurbished classrooms and Mr Menzies was invited to the premises to see the transformation first-hand. Dementia services praised by Fylde MP

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies said he was impressed by the services on offer for dementia patients when he visited a pharmacy in St Annes. Mr Menzies was invited to Rowlands Pharmacy on Wood Street, where he met staff and was given details of the work carried out by the store. While visiting the store he was shown how staff make up special blister packs which contain a dementia patient’s daily medication to help them remember whether they have taken their dosage or not. FYLDE MP Mark Menzies welcomed a Government Minister to Lytham as he visited one of the area’s business success stories. The Member of Parliament introduced Conservative Party chairman Grant Shapps MP to Damian and Helen Broughton from accountancy firm Danbro.
