Fylde MP in fight for rail improvements

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies today said he would continue to fight for the South Fylde Line after the Government launched the tendering process for the northern rail franchise. Ministers today sent Invitations to Tender to a shortlist of bidders with the aim of transforming the service and bringing it into the 21st Century. Mark Menzies quizzes Minister over cancer testing

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies secured a commitment from the Health Secretary for the increased availability of vital cancer testing during a session in the House of Commons. Mr Menzies pushed the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP on the issue after the latest figures showed that increasing the use of diagnostic testing had improved survival rates across the country. This week I was delighted to be invited to tour the facilities at Ribby Hall Village in Wrea Green. As well as bringing thousands of visitors to Fylde each year, the facilities provided at Ribby Hall are well used by local people and I know the new Spa Hotel is extremely popular. MP writes to power chiefs over gas outage in rural Fylde

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies has written to National Grid bosses after hundreds of homes and businesses were left without gas over the weekend. The Member of Parliament has asked for answers after around 1,000 properties in Elswick and Little Eccleston, as well as Great Eccleston in the neighbouring constituency, were left without heating and cooking facilities throughout the weekend. Fylde MP welcomes major dementia cash boost

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies has welcomed the announcement of a major investment into dementia care.
