MP supports flu vaccine programme

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies has urged people to take advantage of the offer of a flu vaccine after attending a clinic in the House of Commons. During the Westminster Flu Day, Mr Menzies received his inoculation and was given information about the take-up of the life-saving vaccination in Fylde. Fylde MP Mark Menzies visits Lytham businesses

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies visited traders in Lytham on a busy Small Business Saturday this weekend. The 2nd annual event, aimed at encouraging people to shop in local stores, has been widely supported by consumers in the UK and Mr Menzies popped in to the town after visiting shops in St Annes last year. This week I was delighted to welcome Government Minister Grant Shapps to Fylde to announce a new £41m bypass to relieve pressure on the A585 at Singleton. Problems with traffic building up on this road have been ongoing for decades and a new road has been on the agenda for just as long, but funding problems have meant the road was never built. Mark Menzies visits new affordable housing development

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies visited families who have moved into their new homes on an affordable housing development in St Annes. The Porritt Place development on St David’s Road North was built by Progress Housing Group and completed this summer. The 32 new properties, a mix of two, three and four-bedroom family homes, as well as one and two bedroom flats and two bedroom bungalows, were then made available for tenants with a local connection at an affordable rent. MP praised for work on new A585 bypass

FYLDE MP Mark Menzies was congratulated by the Transport Secretary in the House of Commons for helping secure a £41m new bypass to ease congestion in rural Fylde. The A585 at Singleton has long been blighted by regular traffic jams and plans for a new road have been on the agenda for more than 20 years.
