Fabulous Feast for Ten

MARK Menzies has urged local residents to take advantage of a special offer and tuck in to some tasty treats at a discounted rate.

Mr Menzies shared a meal with friends at the newly re-opened Tiggis Restaurant on Wood Street, St Annes on Saturday.

The group, including local councillors Paul Rigby and Patricia Fieldhouse, were taking advantage of Fylde Council’s “Feast for Ten” initiative which sees many top local restaurants offer special discounted menus during January and February.

The deal is aimed at boosting trade during the quieter months of the year and giving a welcome New Year saving to residents.

Mr Menzies was also joined by Katie Fieldhouse, sister of Patricia and herself a cordon bleu chef, who developed the idea while serving as Mayoress to her sister two years ago.

“We had a good time and an excellent meal,” he said.

“It’s a great idea to boost business and save some money for people who like to eat out and I would urge anyone to take part.

“I had soup followed by a lovely piece of braised beef with horseradish mash and I would recommend it to anyone.”

Restaurants taking part this year include:

St Annes –  Jack’s Bistro, The Atrium at the Dalmeny Hotel, The Lindum Hotel, The Olive Tree, Tiggis, Greens Bistro, The Cartland Restaurant at the Bedford Hotel  St Annes.

Lytham – Mandarin, The Clifton Arms, Novello and Seniors

Elswick – Bonds and The Ship

Freckleton – Lorenzos

Wrea Green – The Villa.

Deals vary from restaurant to restaurant. Please check availability.
