Mark Menzies has thanked constituents for returning him as Fylde MP.

He said: “I’m delighted to be able to continue the past seven years’ work.

“Just because we have had an election does not mean it is all change.

“As pledged, I will be continuing to ensure we get the Moss Road delivered, with the project closer than ever.

“I want to continue helping improve the Fylde economy and I want to see our two enterprise zones start to deliver the jobs they should be creating; This will be helped by the fact we now have a Conservative administration at County Hall.

“As a member of the Transport Select Committee in the previous Parliament, I understand fully the importance of transport infrastructure, and am looking forward to seeing the advancement of the rail and station improvement works at Kirkham. I want to see better services on the South Fylde line as well.

“I am also delighted to see the Government’s pledge to create a shale gas regulator and I will be working with the Government to ensure it is transparent and fit for purpose for constituents, and that we have the highest possible set of standards and safeguards in place for the industry.

“Above all though, it is about serving the people of Fylde with their various needs for individual help with constituency casework, and ensuring their representations are made to the right people in Government.

“Thank you to everyone who voted for me in record numbers. I am proud to be returned as the Member of Parliament for Fylde.”
