Fylde MP Mark Menzies has congratulated jobseekers and employers for Fylde's continued employment success.
The number of unemployed people in Fylde fell to 625 in August - 85 lower than the previous year, and 30 lower than last month.

Fylde MP backs Lottery bid for top tourist attraction

Fylde MP Mark Menzies has written to the Heritage Lottery Fund in full support of plans to restore Fairhaven Lake.

Mr Menzies wrote a letter of support for the Fylde Council bid which would see a major restoration and improvements at the top attraction.

Fylde MP Mark Menzies has hailed a further fall in unemployment in the constituency - as the national rate reached its lowest level since 1975.

The unemployment count in Fylde is 650 - down 40 on the same month last year, and down five on the previous month.
