Fylde MP Mark Menzies has welcomed a number of new businesses opening in St Annes and Lytham town centres.
He said: “I’m really pleased to see so many new businesses opening in Fylde, especially in St Annes.
“We have new retail stores on the way, the JR Taylor’s site now has a better future ahead of it with works taking place to improve the property for a future tenant, and there are more restaurants and cafes on the way.
“Business confidence appears to have risen, especially following the Brexit vote – what we needed was that bit of certainty either way. I spoke to one business which had a decent order book – but none of the customers wanted to make their purchases until the Brexit deal was through Parliament and we had some certainty."
Mr Menzies said the future looked bright for Fylde's three major centres. He added: "We have improvements on the way for Lytham’s streetscene this year, a new masterplan being put in place for St Annes, and two successful multi-million pound bids secured for Kirkham. We must make the most of them and make sure we attract even more business to our town centres.”
