Residents in Fylde have another vaccination centre open this week.
The new facility will operate from the Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish Centre in St Alban's Road, St Annes, joining facilities in Lytham, Wesham and Kirkham.
Fylde MP Mark Menzies said: "The number of people getting the vaccine is increasing daily and I am really pleased to see another venue opening this week at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish Centre in St Albans Road, improving access to the vaccine for residents.
“In Fylde we have further vaccination centres at Lytham Medical Centre, AFC Fylde in Wesham, Ash Tree House in Kirkham and the larger vaccination centre at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, all complementing the vaccination programme taking place at the Blackpool Victoria Hospital which was one of the first in the UK.
“This week everyone over the age of 80 should have been offered an appointment and more than 5 in 6 of those over 80, and 2 in 3 of people aged 75-79 have now received their vaccination.
“Thankfully the numbers are on the fall in Fylde once again but did rise recently following a cluster of cases. Please make sure you follow the guidelines and stay safe.”
