Your views are needed to help us with our bid to double services on the South Fylde line.
That's the message from Mark Menzies MP following the appointment of Stantec to complete a Strategic Outline Business Case for the railway, aimed at ensuring the line has a minimum of two services per hour.
Stantec has created a simple survey, which takes minutes to complete here: South Fylde Strategic Outline Business Case (arcgis.com)
Mr Menzies said: "I'm delighted to see the scheme progressing so well. The Government announced my Restoring Your Railway bid for the line was successful last year, and by the end of this year, the outline business case will be completed.
"As part of that case, we need to hear from as many people as possible about why they do or do not use the line, and how an improved line would benefit them, such as better connectivity to the wider rail network, commuting and getting to and from college.
"The survey takes just a few minutes to complete and the more responses we get, the stronger our business case will be at the end of the project."
Stantec staff joined colleagues from Network Rail, the Department for Transport, and Mr Menzies' office to walk sections of the line last week and identify the best place for a passing loop’s second rail to be situated.
