Mark Menzies welcomes tougher sentences for violent and sexual offenders

The end of early release for violent and sexual offenders has been welcomed by Fylde MP Mark Menzies.

Those who have committed such crimes will no longer be automatically released halfway through their sentence, and will now be reviewed two thirds of the way through their sentences.

Fylde MP Mark Menzies has called for St Annes Police Station to reopen following the announcement Lancashire is get hundreds of new police officers.

Mr Menzies made the call following Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s pledge to put 20,000 police officers back on the streets.

Mark Menzies tells OGA to ban fracking on Fylde coast

Fylde MP Mark Menzies held a meeting with the Oil and Gas Authority to reiterate his call for an indefinite suspension of hydraulic fracturing on the Fylde coast.

Mr Menzies called for a cessation of fracking in the area following a 2.9MI tremor last month.
