Fylde MP welcomes pay hike for lowest earners

Fylde MP Mark Menzies has welcomed the largest ever rise in the National Living Wage.

This week the Government increased the National Living Wage by almost five per cent - boosting the incomes of 1.8 million people by £690 a year.

Mark Menzies MP delighted at works on M55 link road

Fylde MP Mark Menzies has welcomed the start of pre-works on the M55 link road project.

The proposed link road would connect the existing roundabout at Whitehills Road to the north with Heyhouses Lane near the Cypress Point development site to the south.

Finally we got to see workmen on the site of the M55 link road this week.

I visited the Openreach team who are re-routing air traffic control cables from the area to facilitate the construction of the road.

Preliminary works on the replacement M55 link road have started - to the delight of Fylde MP Mark Menzies.

Workers from BT Openreach are now on site moving National Air Traffic Service cables from Blackpool Airport ahead of the main construction of the road.
