The past week has brought yet more terrible scenes from the Turkish-Syrian border, and it is deeply heart breaking to see the number of lives lost and homes left in ruin following the recent earthquakes.

Every parent here in Fylde wants to give their children the stability of a warm and loving home. However, for all manner of reasons, family homes can and do break down, leaving children facing upheaval and distress through no fault of their own.

The Government has this week given further details of its plan to reduce NHS waiting lists and to ensure patients get the care and treatment they need. I have seen first-hand in recent weeks the incredible work our local hospital teams do.
